To Carrie, The Matthews and MacGregor families
You have lost a wonderful young man. We were so happy to have heard of Steve and Carrie’s recent engagement and so saddened to hear of Steve’s tragic death. It breaks our hearts to have to say goodbye.

We have many fond memories of Steve and Carrie throughout our years together. Rob especially has memories he will always be thankful for while he managed the Lucan-Ilderton Senior A team. He will always remember his many conversations and good times they enjoyed together while Steve captained the team on the ice. He was a dedicated player and leader at all times, and ready to lend a helping hand whenever needed.

We will miss him , but his legacy will live on in the many memories we share.
Joining in your sorrow, but wishing you all peace and healing through these most difficult times.

Sincere sympathy
Rob and Deb Andrews

Mike, Juliane and Carrie,

We lost a hellava good man. I am deeply saddened by this news and will always remember Steve as pound for pound the toughest guy I know. He had a heart of gold and was just an awesome guy that would do anything for anyone.

Steve wore #15 when he played for the Irish. Ironically, there is a hockey player statue in front of the Lucan arena wearing #15 which we used to joke was to honour Steve. I will think of him every time I drive by the arena and remember all the good times we had at the mill.

Condolence from Del and Donna Wolsey on May 10th, 2017 9:03 AM

Like others we were shocked and saddened by the news of the passing of Steve.
At such a time as this, we recall our version of , “We remember when.”
For us we remember the hockey days of the 80’s when Steve and our son played together in Ilderton.
We remember the bond of the hockey parents, hot coffee, cold arenas, early morning practice, snowy drives, games won and games lost,,but what all seemed important then pales with the news of this tragedy.

We extend our heartfelt sorrow and prayers.

The Wolsey Family
