It was with heavy heart that I read the obit for Phil in the Lakeshore Advance.
Phil was so kind and encouraging when I first came to Grand Bend with my crazy scheme to set up a practise in a renovated train station. As deputy mayor, he would come to check my progress on the building, and he would smile and say, ” Just keep going.”. Sort of sums up his attitude to all life’s challenges, doesn’t it? What a great motto, and what a great guy! Miss you both here in Grand Bend. I’m thinking of you at this sad time, but also remembering all the good times. Come and visit us soon in GB.

I have such wonderful memories of when you at the Hardware store in Ilderton, I remember Phil and Marion taking me to pick up a bike that I got for my birthday many years ago and Phil always had the best peppermints.
