Messages of Condolence

  1. Ron & Carrie Christensen & kids says:

    Ejgil, Kathy, Chris & families, I was so sad when I heard of Magda’s passing. We never did get to visit near enough over the past many years but I am so thankful we were blessed with that visit mom and I had with both of you in the summer of 2007. We truly believe that Magda is in a very beautiful & loving place now and when God decides, we will all get to smile and laugh together again just like we always did when we visited. We have you in our prayers. Take care until we meet again.

    Love from the Christensens in Calgary

  3. Stinne says:

    We are deeply sorry for your loss. We enjoyed the time spent with you during your visits to Denmark over the years. Many of us also had the opportunity to visit you in Canada and no matter how long the stay, were always welcomed into your home.

    Magda lived a full life and we saw first hand how you Ejgil, Kathy, Karima, Chris, Janine, Jackson and Dylan did everything possible to make Magda’s final days comfortable.

    Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with you all at this sad time.

  12. Sheryl and Mike Ross says:

    After They Are Gone

    When someone we love passes away,
    We ache, but we go on;
    Our dear departed would want us to heal,
    After they are gone.

    Grief is a normal way to mend
    The anguish and pain in our hearts;
    We need time to remember and time to mourn,
    Before the recovery starts.

    Let’s draw together to recuperate,
    As we go through this period of sorrow;
    Let’s help each other, with tender care
    To find a brighter tomorrow.

    our thought and prayers are with you all,

    Sheryl and Mike Ross and family

  14. Doris Ennis says:

    I remember Magda for her friendliness. I felt that Janine was a long way from home, but I knew that Magda would keep an eye on her as a motherly substitute. We both shared our pride in Jackson and Dylan. I was always glad they had a grandmother close at hand. Gordon and I enjoyed our meals with Magda, especially the introduction to the Danish open-face sandwiches. We enjoyed having them come to “the house on the hill” for the curling bonspiel in Ottawa, and a Dairyfest weekend as well. She was not one to have to be waited on, and spent time baking Danish treats for us.

    I am sure you will miss her, Ike. For me, there are moments when I feel that Gordon is still in the apartment, and I should go and check on him. And you will probably feel the same at times.

    You had a great mother, Chris. You will be lost without her. My sympathy to Kathy too. Love to all.

  23. Tammy Fillion says:

    Her journey just begun

    Don’t thing of her as gone away
    her journey has just begun
    Life holds so many facets this earth is only one

    Just think of her as resting
    from sorrow and the tears
    in place of warmth and comfort
    where there are no days and years

    Think how she must be wishing
    that we could know today
    how nothing but our sadness
    can really pass away

    And the of her as living
    In the hearts of those she touched
    for nothing loved is ever lost

    And she was loved so much

    your the Best Godmother a girl could ever had I LOVE YOU
