My heart and prayers are with you Judy and with your family. Although I have known John for just a short time, I found him to be a very kind and caring person. May all your memories of him be very fond ones. Just to let you know the memory that I have with John is when he came into the office at 5:30am on some days he would say good morning Sandi and I would reply the same but when I left in the morning I would say ‘good night John Boy’ and he would respond ‘Good night Sandi (from the Walton’s). His sense of humor was awesome.
Again my condolences to you Judy and the family.

I am so deeply saddened to hear of John’s passing. John and I went through high school (Regina Mundi College) and university (Western) together, and (mis)spent countless hours getting in and out of trouble. We traded e-mails just a few weeks ago, after not having been in touch for over 30 years; I had looked forward to re-establishing contact with John, whose wit, sense of humour and deep, genuine caring made him a truly special person.

My heartfelt condolences to the Pepers family, with fond remembrance.

On behalf of the staff of Regina Mundi College, the boarding school which John attended in the 70’s, I send condolences to the bereaved family.

Condolence from Anthony Pepers (Son of Ben & Marja-Australia) on June 8th, 2012 7:48 PM

My thoughts are with the family at this time. I did not know my cousin except through conversations between Uncle Frank and my parents. Understanding the grief of loosing somebody so young still saddens me even if the connection of family has not been strong or as often as we would hope. My warmest wishes to all who have been touched by John’s passing.

Condolence from Ken + Verna and Family on June 9th, 2012 12:44 AM

Condolence from Mary-ann Pepers on June 11th, 2012 5:56 AM

Uncle Anton, and dearest cousins, we were all shocked to hear of the sudden death of our cousin John. Although we didn’t know him well, we still have the fondest memories of when he was in Holland, amongst us, and our heart goes out to you all, especially ‘ome Anton’. We feel so far away and unable to help in any way, but do know that we are thinking of you, and that you all live in our hearts.
The Pepers family in Holland: Jan and Josine, and their children Cass, Mary-ann, Susan and Leonie, plus partners and children.

Condolence from Mary-ann Pepers on June 11th, 2012 6:04 AM

And dear Uncle Frenk, my grief was so overwhelming that I unintentionally called you uncle Anton instead of uncle Frenk. Unforgiveable, but at the same time a slight smile creeps onto my face- mum would say a typical Pepers mistake to make. I hope you do forgive me, and we do hope to see you once again in Holland. With lots of love, Mary-ann

John was always there for me during our years in Regina Mundi College and UWO. He had a terrific sense of humour and we shared a keen interest in anything to do with cars. He taught me to drive a standard on his parent’s old VW bug! We hung around a lot during those years and he was an usher at my wedding to Cathy.
Since moving to Alberta in 1979, we got together on a few occasions, the last time was at my Dad’s funeral in 2003. We talked about hanging out more often after retirement. Sadly, I shouldn’t have waited so long. Now, all I’ll have are the memories of the great times we had.
Cathy and I send our deepest sympathy for the loss of John to the ones he loved. He will be missed by all who knew him.
