HAYTER: Elmer J.
Peacefully, at Clinton Public Hospital, on Wednesday, May 28, 2008, J. Elmer Hayter of R.R. 1 Varna, passed away in his 90th year. Beloved husband for 67 years and best friend of Norene (Robinson) Hayter, of Huronview. Dear father of Donna and Ross McBeath of R.R. 3 Kippen, Allan and Marj Hayter, Gerald and Marg Hayter, Bob and Sandy Hayter all of R.R. 1 Varna and Anne and Gord Lavis of R.R. 5 Clinton. Loved by his 19 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Dear brother-in-law of Margaret Hayter, John and Marg Robinson and Maisie Robinson. Sadly missed by his aunts Hazel Dowson and Marion Hayter and many cousins, neices and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Bill and Minnie (Tippett) Hayter, sister Eileen McLean and husband Ken, brothers Harvey Hayter and his wife Maureen and Mervyn Hayter, grandson Jamie Hayter and brother-in-law Bill Robinson. Elmer farmed all his life in Stanley Township and was Warden for Huron County (1972).
Visitation in the J. M. McBeath Funeral Home, 49 Goshen St. N., Zurich on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at 2 p.m.. Rev Marybeth Wilson and Pastor Elly Dow officiating. Interment Bayfield Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Goshen United Church, the Diabetes Association or a charity of one’s choice.
