And like Mom, had her faith in God that kept her strong in difficult times. Its hard to be sad…. my heart hurts, it hurts greatly, but I find it hard to be sad. How can I be sad that I got to have the most wonderful woman on this planet around for 34 years of my life. How can I be sad when I can say that my Grandma lived 93 healthy wonderful years. How can I be sad when she taught me such faith, honesty, courage and love. Patrick & I attended the lovely requiem Mass for your dear mother. We just happened to see the cortege leaving Hasketts in Lucan and joined in….what a lovely experience….sometimes the cars were above us on the horizon and it was quite remarkable to see all the cars highlighted on this…..we had never seen anything quite like it. The trip into your Mom’s home of 72 years (if my memory serves me correctly from the Priest’s homily at Mom’s Mass) was very, very moving. We would have liked to stay and meet up with those of you who knew us, but we were working in the store and had to get back.
Please be assured of our prayers for Mom, Dad and you all and your families. (The angels are going to be busy in heaven when they have to handle all the prayers that will be getting offered for you all.
