I am sorry to be hearing this news. I was on Laverne’s bus while i went to high school. Laverne was a very down to earth, compassionate man. I always looked forward to the end of the day when i would get to ride his bus again. Unlike other bus drivers, Laverne was there to talk to when something was wrong. He cared about us like we were his own children. If I had a bad day at school I always knew that it would be resolved or I would be given advice before i returned home. Laverne was an amazing man and he will be miss very much by me and all those who knew and loved him.

He took the time to talk with Victoria a couple of weeks ago when we were heading into work at (mcdonald’s) asking her how she was and what her plans were for the future with college. To Laverne’s Family

I remember Laverne from the time we spent together waiting for the school buses at the high school while we were both attending public school in Exeter close to 60 years ago. I remember him most for his happy personality and the many comments here confirm that he did not change.

My condolences.
