It is with our heart felt condolences that we give to Shawn, Denise and Aiden through this most difficult time. We are so sorry to hear of the loss of your son.

Mommy, Daddy, and big brother Aiden, and the entire family… I have followed your daily postings of Lucas, and along with so many others, prayed for a miracle for that little guy. I know that Lucas was surrounded by love, from your entire family. He spent those short eight months of his life, hearing your laughter among each other, felt your love for each other, and felt secure and safe when he was with you. He had so many cousins to play with him, and to make him laugh and smile. He is going to be missed by so many. I know that now, Lucas feels it is his turn, to try to help you through your pain, and he will be around in so many ways. His little laugh will be echoing in Heaven, when he is sitting on God’s lap, as he watches you, and sees you notice something that makes you realize he is there. Even though you can no longer hold him tightly to you, he will be with you, every turn, every step, every breath, for ever and always, Lucas will be with you. I know I speak for many of us, when I say, we will miss seeing his little cherub face on your daily up dates each day. You will be in our thoughts and prayers, during this most difficult time in your lives. Hugs to you all.

I remember Lucas as the brave trooper in all his days in the NICU. He was so strong through his wonderful family. I hope that your wonderful memories of your son will help you through these sad days. He is now your guardian angel and holding great-grandma’s hand.

We grew to love your angel as we read your posts on social media and scanned the photos you posted. We all dreamed big for your little man who surpassed every expectation given to him by doctors. Lucas gave so many people joy.. hope and love. Through your courage and your faith your little boy thrived.
