Condolence from Doug Hotson on February 1st, 2018 11:58 AM

What I remember most about Shane is work ethic. Working with Shane and Paul as a teenager is part of what help define for me what working hard (and having fun) looks like. At 2:00am while I was struggling to even be awake – Shane was constantly at full speed. Shane just made the work go easier and through his example made me work harder. I’m praying for you Mary…my deepest condolences and sympathies.

Condolence from Chris Nunns on February 1st, 2018 11:52 PM

Shane always gave a big wave to me when I would drive by in my service truck. I really got to know him when he would come to the Wednesday night meetings at the church. When he spoke it was always from the heart . Shane would come to the fellowship for a couple months & then I wouldn’t see him for a while, but I admired him because he kept coming back. Addiction is a disease and like other diseases not everyone beats it . But Shane you kept on trying. Rest In Peace my friend .

Condolence from Jean Deluce on February 2nd, 2018 8:22 AM

Very sorry to hear about Shane .He will be greatly missed for sure as I can remember he helped me many times clearing the snow from my driveway & was always willing to jump out of his comfortable chair & give me a push when I got stuck in the snow! Water Street won’t be the same without seeing him around. He will be missed by many . I am sorry for your loss Mary & the Dykeman family.

So sorry to here of Shanes passing. Having growing up with Shane around was always good for a chuckle at times. We all know he struggled occasionally but did so with smile and a witty remark. He always had time to stop and say hello and share a quick story to make us laugh. He was a good kind hearted man. We will miss his short visits and comical sense of humor. Rest In Peace buddy.

Condolence from Ryan Campbell on February 4th, 2018 12:44 PM

Growing up in Lucan, I have so many great memories with Shane. He was a wonderful man with a heart of gold who was able to put a genuine smile on anybodies face. I don’t think he should be defined by his struggles, but instead by his kindness and his generosity as he was in no shortage of those qualities. I am truly sad to hear of his passing, and I write this with a very heavy heart. My condolences go out to his family and the rest of his friends. He will be missed by many. Rest easy Bro! I know you’re in a better place now.
