Condolence from Rev. & Mrs. L. Bruce Pocock on April 12th, 2010 1:50 PM

To all the Lewis family. It was so difficult to hear that Cecil had died. I was with him on Tuesday and we had a great chat. He was excited about the summer and shared with me his plans for the year. He was again concerned about his favourite project, our subdivision and hoped that things would continue to progress. He was large about his ongoing problems with the Township and their concern for us out here in Clandeboye. We had a great time together and I hoped that we could make up for the time that we did all that travelling. Cecil was a good friend, and I, for one, will miss going around that corner and not seeing him. It has left a big hole in my life as I know it has in yours. You can be sure that there will never be a day that I don’t go around that corner and not think kind thoughts of him. I know that he will be at peace with God and be happy in the presence of Marie. Blessings to you all. We will see you on Tuesday. Thank you for the honour of being active at his farewell celebration. I will cherish the happy times shared with him and Marie. God bless you all, and may you be strong for each other and cherish the happy thoughts that your friend and neighbours will bring in remembrance of him.
Bruce and Pat

We are thinking of you all during this difficult time, your Dad and Grand Father lived a great life and certainly knew so many people. He never forgot a name. I always remember how Cec could greet anyone by name while he was shaking their hand even if they had only met once before.

Condolence from Dennis Little on April 13th, 2010 3:17 PM

Larry & Lynda, Phil and Mary-Ellen,
I’m sorry that I could not get to Haskett’s during the regular visiting hours. It would have been nice to see all of you. I know that there was no shortage of visitors and that you were kept very busy.
I always enjoyed chatting with Cec even though it didn’t happen often enough. He always treated me as a friend. He certainly lived a full life. We never know when our time will come.
I know you are strong and will get through this difficult time. Just know that he is in Good Hands and finally back in the company of his dear Marie. Take good care. Sincerely, Dennis.

A chapter in the Lewis family has now come to a end. But with the closing of one chapter a new chapter begins. May that new chapter make Mr. C. Lewis and his remaining family proud.

To Phil, Larry, and Families

In trying times it is always a relief to look back and remember the best of times. Uncle Cec was a man who will be absolutely unforgettable, we feel there is not enough words to describe uncle Cec but can smile for hours thinking of memories.

Memories
We thought of you with love today
But that is nothing new
We thought about you yesterday
And days before that too.
We think of you in silence, and often speak your name
All we have are memories, and your picture in a frame
God has you in his keeping
We have you in our hearts
