Your mom touched the lives of so many, the timing of her death will always be remembered. Prayers for her soul will be said every Christmas eve by all those people. And you will always be on my mind and in my prayers. Mona you were a wonderful daughter, your love and admiration for you mother was seen by everyone.

Please accept my deepest sympathy for the loss of your mom. I was fortunate enough to get to know her over the years. Although the circumstances weren’t the best when we were together she always tried to make the best of it. She never lost her sense of humour or her stuborness. She fought hard and tried to stay strong. I know she loved her family very much and was especially grateful to receive the excellent care you gave her Mona. She was very proud of all of her grandchildren and loved having them around. I know that she will be missed very much by everyone in your families. I hope that you can find comfort in knowing that she is up in heaven right now breathing freely and probably dancing on two good legs. I have always,and still will, think of her often. Keep your faith and know that you will see her again someday.

We were lucky enough to get to see Carole frequently at Mona and Rob’s house. She was always a very kind lady who always contributed to a good laugh. Her sense of humour and no hold back comments were always entertaining. We were also lucky enough to have some of her mittens and hats. I know this is a terrible time and she will be sadly missed by all and never forgotten. I’m sure when you all get together all of the fun times and childhood memories will be remembered and bring a good laugh once again and Carole will be along side you all in spirit laughing as well. The memory that stands out most is her pulling out her lighter (shaped like a gun) at Mass…trying to get us all to laugh.
