It seems appropriate that Joyce McBeath is our caregiver of the month.
Joyce worked for 25 years as a Registered Nurse before entering the funeral profession. And with over 25 years in the funeral profession, Joyce has been caring for others for over 50 years! We are not aware of many in our communities that can say they have been putting other’s needs before their own for more than half a century.
When Joyce announced her retirement, online commenters had this to say: “Congratulations to Joyce and Doug-we thought what a hard thing to do when you decided to do the funeral business and worked hard to get there many years ago, be very proud of what you accomplished since then Pat yourselves on the back you deserve it. Enjoy life!!! You both have earned it”; and “Well done, Joyce and Doug! You’ve served our community in business and in your volunteer positions in ways of which you can be proud. Your friendship as neighbours has been appreciated. We’ll certainly miss you, but wish you a long. healthy and happy retirement” There were many others that wish both Joyce and Doug all the best.
Joyce received a plaque and dinner on us. Congratulations and thank you for all you have done for your community!
If you have not already done so, please nominate a deserving caregiver atwww.haskettfh.com/caregivers.
