I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Grandma Berends, I have so many great memories of her, but, I think what I will remember the most was the smile that lit up her whole face. She always made me feel welcome when Jodi and I would visit on our lunch breaks, insisting we eat a sandwich and cookies! There are so many great memories in the pictures that you chose for her album.
Thinking of you all, Love, Shar (Chris, Steven and Jayden too)

Condolence from Alice ,Jerry MacLean on April 30th, 2017 11:15 PM

To Rosaleens Family, My acquaintance with Rosaleen was not through her bridge skills, but it was for her beautiful seamstress skills. She made many pieces of clothing for me while living in Dashwood, as well as Exeter. No alteration was to much for Rosaleen! Her love of people was always so evident as she always found the time to visit and had such a pleasing personality. To know her was to love her as a friendly friend.

Rosaleen will always be remembered for her smile ,a big hug and welcome to her home. Lloyd ( her uncle)and I (Mil) always held great respect for her and her willingness to lend a hand. She was depended on by so many at a young age when her Mother passed away and remained a pillar who could always be depended on. Mil first met her when she and Lloyd were first married in the Air Force and Rosaleen was a teenager.
Rest well now Rosaleen as you have earned a special place in heaven.

Marj, MaryLou, Darlene & family members, I was very saddened to hear about your Mom’s passing. I have so many cherished memories of her from our Dashwood days. She was always there for me when I had no mother, helping with sewing when I needed help. My Sunday School teacher, 4 H teacher. She was always volunteering. So selfless, busy raising her family., & fitting everyone in. She was one of the important female figures in my formative years. She was definitely a Woman of Substance. You were all so blessed to have her in your lives. Thank you for sharing the slide presentation & many memories of her life. Wishing you all peace & comfort. Hugs from Alberta.
