Clara, in our journey though life we meet some very special people and for me Kirby Berdan was one of those people. I have known Kirby for many years from when he coached the Dunlop hockey team to working with Kirby at ED Smith. Kirby’s dedication and work ethic was unmatched by any I have worked with past or present. Kirby always had a sharp wit and a passion for whatever he was involved in weather it was work, hockey or especially family. I will truly miss Kirby.

Condolence from Jo-Anne Hodgins on August 28th, 2017 11:09 AM

I first met Kirby when I led Exeter’s Playground Program, this was over 50 years ago, Kirby was probably 9, I was in my 14th year. What a delightful child he was! Fun. Bright. Full of boundless energy. Whenever we have met on the streets of Exeter through the years, Kirby and I would reminisce of those golden summer days.
Rest well Kirby. You have brought joy and love to all who have had the blessing of crossing your path.
Most Sincerely,
Jo-Anne Dinney Hodgins

I woke up this morning thinking about cousin Kirby and how much extended family has been missed, especially over the last few years with COVID.

I will always remember how much fun Kirby was to interact with. He was always jovial and laughing when we would see him at birthdays and family events, reunions, and family picnics. As kids we loved his jokes and laughter.

It’s hard to believe four years has already come and gone. As we near the anniversary of his passing, know that his memory lives on.
