Our sympathy to all your family! We cherish fond memories of the love and friendship shared with our family over many years on the third line. In later years, we greatly enjoyed Ruth and Humphery’s visits to Beachburg with Earl and Ethel! Barry and Grace Stephen

Our sympathies to the Arthur Family. Ruth and Humphery were such wonderful parents to Garry Owen, I was fortunate to know them for the time that Garry lived in Seaforth. I learned alot about how difficult it was for them to raise Garry at home without support from their church and community. Ruth taught Sunday School and as Garry aged, someone at the church told her not to bring him anymore, She quit teaching. she was devastated! Humphrey and Ruth would go every Sunday to Woodstock to visit Garry and take him a pint of Sherbert as a treat. for the rest of his life they visited him , devoted parents and the staff were the recipients of their kindness as well Today children with developmental delays live at home, attend school and are in the most part welcomed in the communities where they live. Ruth and Humphrey taught me so much about being differently able and I visited them for many years after Garry died. Such wonderful people. God Bless

I will always remember Humphrey and Ruth coming to our Dining for Seniors program in Exeter at the Lion’s Youth Centre. Humphrey always was such a big help in setting up the tables and chairs and driving clients to the program. He also brought flowers for the tables. I visited them several times in Exeter before they moved to St. Mary’s and a few times after that. I will always remember how many times Humphrey wouud pick his sweet pea seeds for me to plant and I could never get them to grow. He really had a green thumb and a great garden. We would watch the white squirrels in his back yard. I will always have the memories to cherish of Humphrey and Ruth as you will, and know you are in my thoughts and prayers.
