It is with great sadness that I read of Mrs. Acheson’s passing. I remember what a spirited, dynamic woman she was and of my fathers great respect for her work in his real estate company. She became a colleague and a friend to our family. I remember joining my mother to attend a wedding anniversary for Mr. And Mrs. Acheson in later years and often recall the speech she gave that night. At the end of it she quoted the wise saying, “Enjoy a new friend but treasure the old, for one is silver but the other gold.” Mrs. Acheson was certainly gold.
With sympathy
Katherine (Rowcliffe) Peel
