Peacefully at South Huron Hospital, Exeter on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 of Lucan and formerly of Stokes Bay and Dorchester in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Jack MacGillivray (1994). Dear mother of Bob and Heather MacGillivray of Lucan and Pamela and Kieven Bennewies of New Liskeard. Dear grandmother of Courtney and Matt, Katie-Scarlett, and Caleb and Corbin; and Jim and Greg. Dear sister of Shirley Lakatos of Manitoba. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by son Rodger and infant son John, a granddaughter Patricia, sisters Ann, Ethel, Margaret, Minnie, Mary, Dorothy and Lillian and brothers Walter, Charles, Clarence, Bert, Eddie and James.
Cremation has taken place. A family graveside service will take place in Lions Head.
Mary (Parker) Grady

Peacefully, at Rosamond Unit of the Almonte General Hospital, Mary (Parker) Grady, June 15, 1919 – May 2, 2010, at the age of 90. Mary will be fondly remembered by her friends and family throughout Ontario, New Brunswick and Alberta. At the request of Mary, she will return to Exeter to be laid to rest beside her husband, the late Leo Grady.
A graveside service will be held at the Exeter Cemetery on Friday, July 2, 2010 at 10 AM, with Rev. Paul Ross officiating. Haskett Funeral Home, Exeter (519-235-1220) entrusted with the arrangements.
Flora Belle (Regular) Johns

At Extendicare, London, on Sunday, June 27, 2010 , of London and formerly of St. Thomas, in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Cecil Frederick Johns. Dear mother of Dennis Johns and his wife, Joanne Lubansky–Johns. Adoring, and forever adored, nana of Katy Flora Johns. Predeceased by five brothers and two sisters (all of whom lived well into their 90s), Flora was the last of her generation of the proud Regular clan.
During the Second World War, Flora became smitten with a dashing young naval officer who was stationed near her home in Harbour Grace, Newfoundland. Not only did he sweep her off her feet; he swept her “off the Rock” as well…all the way to Ontario. Flora and Cec settled in St. Thomas, Ontario where they celebrated 50 years of marriage together. In St. Thomas, Flora became a proud fifty-year member of both the Chancel Guild at Trinity Anglican Church and The Order of the Eastern Star, Central Star Chapter #57.
On Wednesday, June 30, Flora was laid to rest beside her beloved husband in a private family ceremony at Elmdale Cemetary in St. Thomas.
A service to celebrate Flora’s life will be held at St. Jude’s Anglican Church (located at the corner of Adelaide Street North and Fanshawe Park Road) on Monday, July 5th at 7PM with Rev. Phil Uptgrove officiating.
Donations to St. Jude’s Anglican Church or Trinity Anglican Church, St. Thomas would be appreciated.

Dear mother of the late Frank (2010) and Rina Vandenheuvel of Denfield, Gary and Nathalie Vandenheuvel of London, Marian and Lance Volkman and Janet and Rick Luder all of British Columbia, Nancy and David Broumpton of Denver, Colorado, Tony and Lisa Vandenheuvel of Denfield, Angela and Michel Houle of Woodstock and the late Michael Vandenheuvel (1998). Dear grandmother of 25 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Anna and Ben Vermeulen of Milford, Station, N.S. and Rikki, Riny and Ties all of Holland. Beloved wife and life partner of Roy Hunter for 64 years. Dear mother and mother-in-law of Sandra Hunter of Lucan, David and Ruth of Calgary and Michael and Deb of Exeter. Dear grandmother of Michelle, Molly, Andrea and Dana. Dear sister of Almira Ford and Harold Brintnell both of Exeter. Also remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Alvin and Irene Brintnell and her siblings James, Madeline, Jack, Douglas, Frank and Etta.
