Dear father of Douglas and Barbara Jeffery of Windsor. Dear grandfather of Scott and Lori Jeffery and Rob and Heather Jeffery; and great-grandfather of Lauren and MacKay. Dear brother of Harry and Ruth Jeffery of Usborne Township and Eileen and Doug Rivers of London. Predeceased by his parents William and Roxie (Cann) Jeffery.

Dear mother of Elaine and Cleon Wallace of Arva and Don and Judy Squire of RR 1 Centralia. Dear grandmother of Paul Wallace and his fiancée Jen Harrigan, Lorie Wallace and Randy Jeffery; Jay and Mindy Squire, Joel and Emily Squire, Katelyn Squire and her fiancé Chadd Taylor, Allyson Squire and great-grandmother of Grace and Elana Jeffery and Brendan Squire. Dear sister-in-law of Dorothy Meyer of London. Remembered by her cousins Alwinna Galloway and Grace Morlock and the Latta family. Predeceased by her good friend Harvey Latta (2000).

Dear grandmother of Ken, Darryl and Christine and Lorrie; Mark and Judy, Mike and Isabelle and Victoria and Chris, great-grandmother of 10 and great-great grandmother of 2. Predeceased by a daughter Helen Hern-Looby (1998), a grandson Doug Wilson (1989), a brother Harold Davis (1991) and an infant brother Norman.

Dear brother and brother-in-law of Ken and Louise Hayter of Crediton, Kathy Hayter of Toronto, June Hayter of Alberta, Laura Prekup of St. Marys, Doris and Jim Goeble of Michigan, Gary and Linda Hayter of Lucan, Audrey and Gord Bannister of Thorndale and Janice and George Dauncey of Lucan. Predeceased by a son Terry (1980) and a daughter Kim (2005), grandson Samuel Marshall (2007) and brothers Floyd, Ron, Jack and Ross.

Much loved wife, best friend and farming partner of Robert (Bob) Down for 49 years. Role model, coach and story teller to Patti and John of Zurich, Barb and Brian of Exeter, Cyndi and Brian of Trenton and Deb and Dave of London. Sport and music enthusiast for grandchildren Matt and Brett McAllister; Justine, Janelle, Jillian and Jaimee Clarke; Andrew, Jessica and Emma Crews; and Alyssa, Jordan and Cole Paré. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Marilyn Broadfoot of Clinton, Dr. Iris Marshall of Grand Bend, Dave and Loralee Marshall of Kirkton and Helen and Al Denning of Strathroy. Also missed by her good pal Wrinkles. Predeceased by her parents Ross and Winona Marshall and a brother-in-law Edward Broadfoot. Pat took her 4-H motto seriously, “Learn to do by doing”. Peacefully at her late residence in Exeter, formerly of Fullarton in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Cornelis Driesse (1981). Dear mother of Jannie and Herman Van Wieren of Hensall, Ada and Harvie Crosby of Sebringville, Audrey and Bill Ramsey of Kitchener and Wilma Driesse of Exeter. Dear grandmother of Carolanne and Roger, Audrey and Jeff, Theresa and Kai; Ann and Gary and Kim and Robert; Tracy and Chris and Erin and Lonny; and also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by brothers Thys and Willem.

Howard Currie

At Restview Retirement Home, Lucan on Thursday, January 14, 2010 Howard Currie of Lucan in his 86th year.  Beloved husband of the late Eileen Currie (2001).  Dear father of Linda and David Lang of Abbottsford BC, Brian and Monique Currie of London and Bruce and Deannie Currie of Alberta.  Dear grandfather of Rhonda Morrison and Jason Lang; Laura and Elizabeth Currie; and Susan Currie.  Dear brother of Gordon Currie, Juanita Elliot and Jean Neil all of Nova Scotia.  

Howard served in World War II as an artillery Gunner from 1941-1945.  He was also well known as the Dog Catcher in the Lucan-Biddulph area for 23 years.

Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will take place in the spring at Birr United Cemetery with the Royal Canadian Legion, Lucan Branch #540 officiating. 

Donations to the Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.

Suddenly, but peacefully at Marion Villa, London on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 of Lucan and formerly of Belleville in her 85th year.  Beloved wife of the late Vern Goyer (1989).  Dear mother of Jeanett and George Wood of Lucan and Frances and Wayne Hopkins of Burlington.  Proud and loving Nan of Jeffrey and Laurie Hopkins of Texas, Jennifer and Rob Felske of Burlington, Lori Wood of London and special great-grandmother of Emily and Abby and Emma.  Dear sister of Ann Fisher of Belleville.

Cody James Nathan Westlake

After a heroic battle with Cancer Cody in his 21st year passed away at home with his family by his side on Sunday, January 10, 2010. Cody leaves behind his loving parents, Calvin and Suzanne (Mair) Westlake of Kirkton and his three brothers, Sean and his friend Nicole Sharp, Spencer and Carter. Cody also leaves behind “an angel”, his special love, Kelley Nedza of Hensall. Cody will be dearly missed by his many aunts and uncles — Cathy and Bruce Forster, Donny Mair and Allison Barrett, Cindy and Ron Graham, Lorraine and Don O’Leary and Sandra and Steve Meyers all of London; Barbara and Grant Melnick, Brantford; Cheryl and Jim Cornish, Dorchester and Rosemary Mair and friend Sherri Pickering of Ailsa Craig; Grant and Doris Westlake, Noel Westlake, Milo Westlake and friend Ivy Price, Rosemarie Westlake, Floyd Westlake, Mary Westlake, Linda and Wayne Clipperton all of Exeter; Mable and Lloyd Glanville, Brussels, Harold and Ruth Westlake, Dashwood and Josephine and Larry Windsor, Wyoming. Predeceased by Uncle Walter Westlake and Aunt Hilda Westlake of Exeter. Cody will also by missed by his many cousins and special family friends who helped him through his journey these past 18 months. He was predeceased by grandparents Harold and Margaret Mair, London; William and Eileen Westlake, Exeter and Great Gramma Maude Singleton of London.
Cody is a graduate of South Huron District High School in Exeter. He was his happiest when he was surrounded by his wonderful friends who will miss his uplifting spirit and beautiful smile.

Cody received amazing care from Dr. Sanatani, Dr. Dar and Nurse Practitioner Sue Baker at the The London Regional Cancer Centre in London; Megan Ingram, Grace Bradish and the staff at St. Elizabeth Healthcare and also Dr. Davis and staff of Happy Valley Family Health Team in St. Marys.
