Dear father of Cheryl and Arnold Redegeld of Exeter, Debra and Jim McCann of RR 3 Dashwood, Karen and Casey Zeehuisen of Exeter, John Hern and Bill and Stacey Hern all of Barrie. Dear grandfather of Todd and Kendra, and Garrett; Ben and Melissa, Adam and Krista and Jesse and Denise; Laura and Shaun and Mitchell, Sarah, Chelsey and Craig; and Maggie, Casey and Julius and his 3 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his sister Alma Dobson and brothers Ward, Earl, Philip and Ken Hern. A memorial service will be held at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, 1 west of Main, Exeter on Friday, November 21st at 11 AM with Rev. Sheila Macgregor officiating. Dear father of Dianne and Marty Brown and Larry Willert all of Arkona, Sheila and Mervyn Knechtel of Rostock, Steve and Sandra Willert of Toronto and Laurie Willert and Bob Hardy of Appin. Dear grandfather of Lisa (Scott), Tracy (Darryl), Brent (Lynne), Darren (Maryellen), Shawn (Lori), Tim (Wendy), Jody, Rob, Theodore, Thomas and Sunny. Also survived by 12 great-grandchildren. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Doris and Cliff Penhale of Dashwood. Predeceased by his brother Milton and his sister Ada Newton. Alvin was the Arena Manager in Exeter from 1952-1982 and had the honour of having the baseball field named after him. Bob was an avid hockey enthusiast and was General Manager of the Exeter Hawks in 1972 when they won the All-Ontario Championship.
